Happy National Taco Day!! We are excited to be raising money for our new friends at @haltonwomensplace They are the ONLY women’s shelter in the Halton region providing emergency safe shelter and community outreach services to women and children experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
100% of the sales of the Al Pastor taco today will be going to Halton's Women's Place. Today is also Sisters in Spirit Day! Sisters in Spirit is an effort to research and document the statistics of violence against Indigenous women in Canada. It also seeks to heighten awareness and education regarding the treatment of Indigenous women, and ultimately influence policy to address these issues by documenting the lived experience of Indigenous women and highlighting the underlying causes of this violence.
